The Court of Appeals has up- held a Quezon City court’s deci- sion of life imprisonment of three Chinese drug traffickers.
The CA dismissed the appeal filed by Zhang Silang Ming, Alex Tan Lim and Robert Ong Cruz.
It added that it found no reason to disbelieve the testimony of the prosecution witnesses.
On July 31, 2003, Zhang, Lim and Cruz were caught selling 27.9 grams of shabu in a buy-bust op- eration in Eastwood Mall in Libis. They were subsequently found guilty beyond reasonable doubt for drug pushing.
They were sentenced to life imprisonment and ordered to pay a fine of P1 million each.
