Uratex chief named PH Entrepreneur of the Year 2017

Tsinoy businesswoman Natividad Y. Cheng was named Entrepreneur of the Year Philippines 2017 in an awards banquet held recently at the Makati Shangri-La hotel. She will represent the country in the World Entrepreneur of the Year awards in Monte Carlo, Monaco in June 2018.
Chairperson and chief executive officer of Multiflex RNC Philippines, Inc. (Uratex), Cheng was recognized for her decades of work, prudence, frugality and business sense that built Uratex.
The company is a producer of industrial foam, mattresses, food containers, textiles, monoblock furniture and automotive original equipment parts. It exports to Guam, Australia and Asia.
Cheng also received the Master Entrepreneur award for applying sound management practices in finance, business development, marketing, human resources and sales.
Cheng and her late husband Robert founded Polyfoam Chemical Corp. in 1968 with P4,000 in capital.
The Entrepreneur of the Year was founded in the United States by professional services firm Ernst & Young in 1986 to recognize the achievements of successful and innovative entrepreneurs worldwide.
